4th of July Las Vegas Car Accident Leads to Death of Las Vegas Woman

According to police, this Las Vegas car accident occurred on Sunday, July 4th at approximately 9:45 a.m.  The crash occurred at the intersection of at Stewart Avenue and Page Street, and the woman killed was identified as Maria Perez-Espinoza, 65.  Ms. Perez-Espinoza was driving a Chevrolet Malibu in a northbound direction on Page Street when she accelerated after stopping at a stop sign.  Suddenly, a Nissan Altima that was heading east on Stewart Avenue moved into the intersection at the same time as the Chevrolet and collided with it.  A passenger in the Malibu suffered minor injuries, as did the two occupants of the Altima.  Ms. Perez-Espinoza was taken to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead.
