"A Metro Police motorcycle officer suffered minor injuries Friday night when he was rear-ended by a pickup truck on the Strip, police said. The Metro officer, a 38-year-old man whose name was not immediately released, was riding north on the Strip at the Paris casino entrance about 10 p.m. when the motorcycle stopped and was hit from behind, police said.
Neither the driver of the truck, Juan Gutierrez, 58, of Las Vegas, nor two passengers were injured, police said. The crash remains under investigation, police said.
The crash was the second in as many days involving a Metro motorcycle officer.
On Thursday, two Metro motorcycle officers were injured when they collided with a car that lost control and jumped the median on Nellis Boulevard, police said."
