Motorcycle-riding police officers are always easy to spot on the roads, as their vehicles are clearly distinct from just about any other type of car, truck, SUV or even civilian motorcycle you will see. It seems that the issue of sexual abuse within religious organizations has largely passed through the public's consciousness without too much in the way of new laws or legal standards being adopted. Hit-and-run accidents are always difficult situations to handle, particularly because many who have been wrongfully injured in such a situation hesitate to enforce their legal rights based on the assumption that the defendant may not be identified. Unfortunately, this lack of attention can lead to serious problems. On Monday, five people were sent to the hospital in serious condition because of symptoms that indicate carbon monoxide poisoning.

The holiday season is a time when everyone seems to celebrate, but an unfortunate aspect of these few weeks is that traffic collisions seem to rise and the risks encountered by anyone who gets into a vehicle seem to be raised. Tragically, that appears to be the case with a female passenger of a Honda sedan who was killed in a crash on December 27 as a result of being broad-sided on the passenger side of the car.
