"A pedestrian killed Friday in a hit-and-run crash on Flamingo Road has been identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office as 50-year-old John Charles Perry.
The coroner’s office said Perry died of multiple injuries from a motor vehicle striking a pedestrian. His death has been ruled accidental.
Police said evidence at the scene and witness statements indicate Perry was crossing Flamingo, west of Escondido Street, outside of a marked crosswalk about 7:30 p.m. when he was hit by a red, four-door sedan that left the scene, police said. The car sustained front-end damage, police said."
It will likely take some time to determine fault in the accident, as the first step involves identifying and apprehending the driver involved in this fatal accident.
