Man Critically Injured in Las Vegas Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Accident

Motorcycles are a regular sight in Las Vegas, and one of the common practices for all types of vehicles is to ride behind another in the slow lane of traffic when a driver is having car problems.  Apparently, this is what a local rider was doing over the weekend before he was hit and badly injured in yet another Las Vegas motorcycle accident.  To make matters worse, the driver of the vehicle that hit the motorcyclist fled the scene afterwards, making this case another hit-and-run situation.

According to police, the latest Las Vegas motorcycle accident occurred just before 2:30 a.m. on Sunday morning when David Maifield, 48, of Las Vegas, was riding his self-constructed motorcycle behind a vehicle that was experiencing mechanical problems on Tropicana Avenue just west of Paradise Road.  Suddenly, a white sedan came up and hit the motorcycle from behind, and Mr. Maifield was rushed to the hospital.  He is listed in critical condition, and police are looking for a white sedan that some believe is a Honda.
