According to reports, the latest North Las Vegas motorcycle accident took place at approximately 7 a.m. on East Craig Road just west of Interstate 15 in the eastbound lanes. Apparently, a man driving a Plymouth Voyager van was attempting to make a lane change, but the driver of a Harley Davidson motorcycle was behind him without the van driver's knowledge. When the van proceeded to make the lane change, it cut off the driver of the Harley Davidson.
As a result, the motorcyclist lost control of his vehicle, sliding into another lane and into the space being occupied by a man driving a Honda motorcycle. The Honda driver managed to avoid the crashing Harley Davidson, but in the process lost control of his vehicle, hit the median and crashed as well. The driver of the van was pulled over by police down the road, and he stated that he did not know that the motorcycles had crashed.
The man driving the Harley Davidson was wearing a novelty helmet, and his injuries are described as critical. The man on the Honda motorcycle was wearing an approved helmet with a face guard, and he managed to survive the crash without suffering serious injuries.
First and foremost, we'd like to extend our thoughts to the man driving the Harley Davidson motorcycle in hopes that he manages to overcome his injuries and to recover. Secondly, we'd like to express our relief that no one was killed in this latest North Las Vegas motorcycle accident, as approximately 60 people every year die in Nevada motorcycle accidents. To date, North Las Vegas has had four traffic fatalities since the beginning of 2010, and all of them were motorcyclists.
Secondly, we'd like to point out that this is a strange case of liability if those who were injured decide to file a Nevada personal injury lawsuit. While it's possible that the driver of the van could be found at fault, it's also possible that the driver of the Harley Davidson could be partially at fault as well, depending on the specifics of the case. Clearly, this is a complicated scenario that should involve the help of experienced Las Vegas personal injury lawyers in order to obtain accurate legal advice.
If you or someone you love has been harmed in a Nevada motorcycle accident, you need the help of Las Vegas personal injury lawyers who have been working through these complicated scenarios successfully for injured clients for years.
