Auto accidents can happen at any time and in any place, and the potential causes of these auto accidents is nearly limitless in number. Tragically, a Summerlin auto accident last weekend led to the death of the driver and serious injuries to her passenger, and at this point authorities believe that the driver suffered from some sort of medical episode that caused her to lose control of the vehicle.
The crash occurred at the "T" intersection of High Range Drive and Button Willow Drive on Sunday morning at approximately 10 a.m. Authorities believe that it's possible that the driver choked on food she was eating while in the car, lost control of it and proceeded directly through the intersection at a high rate of speed. Ultimately, the car crashed into a wall on the other side of the intersection and came to rest near an intersection between Lake Mead Boulevard and Sun City Boulevard.
The woman managed to survive until emergency workers got her to University Medical Center in Las Vegas, where she ultimately died. The passenger, who was also the driver's husband, was also rushed to the hospital and survived the crash. He was listed in serious condition. No word has been given as to a definitive cause to the Summerlin auto accident that could have been much worse despite the loss of life that did occur.
