According to police, this fatal Las Vegas motorcycle accident occurred on Thursday morning at approximately 6:15 a.m. when a Cadillac was traveling in the eastbound lanes on The Beltway and about to take the Rainbow Boulevard interchange. Suddenly, the driver decided to stay on The Beltway and veered back onto the road. As a result, the Cadillac struck an SUV which then collided with a motorcycle. No names were released of those involved in the incident because authorities need to contact the family of the man who was killed.
First, we'd like to extend our thoughts and condolences to the family of the man who was killed on his motorcycle. Losing your life because of someone else's mistake is truly senseless and tragic. Unfortunately, this Las Vegas motorcycle accident will only add to the overall statistics regarding fatal Nevada car accidents. Every year, more than 500 people are killed somewhere in the state because of traffic collisions.
Based on the facts provided by police, it appears that the driver of the Cadillac could be negligent. If that's an accurate depiction of what occurred, it's possible for the family of the man who was killed to pursue a Nevada wrongful death lawsuit. If the claim was successful, damages could be awarded for medical, funeral and burial costs as well as lost income and loss of companionship.
However, the determination of whether or not to pursue such a claim should only be made with the help of a Las Vegas wrongful death lawyer who has been successfully fighting for the rights of suffering families for many years. If this has happened to your family, contact Jack Bernstein & Associates today at 702-434-4444 to schedule a free initial consultation.
