Woman Hit and Killed by UPS Truck in Las Vegas Pedestrian Accident

We see UPS and other company delivery trucks all the time in residential areas, and most of the time we don't give them a second thought unless they come to our doors.  However, there is danger involved with sharing the roads with these vehicles even in residential areas.  Tragically, that reality was reinforced last week when a woman was hit and killed by a UPS truck in a Las Vegas pedestrian accident.  Police are still investigating the incident.

According to the authorities, this fatal Las Vegas pedestrian accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon at just before 3:15 p.m.  A 69-year-old woman was believed to have been out getting her mail on 2500 block of Swan Ridge Avenue near Wigwam Parkway and Eastern Avenue.  The driver of the truck had just climbed back into his vehicle and began to roll forward when he heard the collision.  He remained on the scene and the woman was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead.
